About the Workshop
What You Will Learn
Hitomi will guide you through the creation of her signature Yarn-Covered Extenders, beginning with the materials and fundamental step-by-step techniques used to make them. From there, you’ll explore variations of the standard extender and discover how these simple individual elements can become versatile tools for creative structure-building.
Throughout the three-part Mini-Course, Hitomi will demonstrate how extenders can be connected, multiplied, shaped, and transformed into a wide range of forms, progressing from individual components to more complex, three-dimensional structures. She’ll also share ideas for their application in floral design, including her approach and tips for incorporating flowers and botanical materials into finished structures.
Who This Workshop Is For
This Mini-Course is designed for floral designers and creative makers of all experience levels who are interested in expanding their structure-building skills and exploring new approaches to floral mechanics and design.
No previous experience with Hitomi’s extenders is required. Whether this is your first introduction to structure-building or you are already familiar with Hitomi’s techniques, the course is designed to give you both the fundamentals and plenty of possibilities to explore.
