‘Join Me for 2 Weeks of interactive learning as we dive into the subject of Sustainable Floristry.

For the past several years, I’ve both learned and developed techniques and methods that have helped me design in a more sustainable way. I’m excited to share some of these ideas and applications, which I feel can help florists from all backgrounds and experience levels.

Whether you’re committed to Zero Waste, trying to move your business in a more sustainable direction, or just looking to be more time and product efficient, this workshop is for you!!’

WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

Day 1 (Sunday, November 26th at 12:00PM PST)

LIVE Lecture #1 - We start things off with an exciting 3-hour LIVE Demonstration! This live & interactive session will feature live Q&A with students, as well as plenty of time-saving, easy, and SUSTAINABLE techniques, mechanics, and design ideas! If you can’t make this live demo, do not worry as every single sessions in this workshop will be recorded in full and available to watch afterwards! Students will enjoy LIFETIME Access to all program recordings & resources as well.


Day 2 (Monday, November 27th at 3:00PM PST)

Mentor Session #1 - Hitomi will be back LIVE for this shorter 2-Hour long LIVE Mentor Session. Enjoy Live Q&A and interaction with Hitomi as she shares some ideas and mechanics that will pertain to our first Student Project of the week! If you can’t make this live demo, do not worry as every single sessions in this workshop will be recorded in full and available to watch afterwards! Students will enjoy LIFETIME Access to all program recordings & resources as well.


Day 3 (Tuesday, November 28th)

Sustainability Challenge - Students will have a day to work on a short Sustainability Challenge that will be discussed in Live Lecture #1.


Day 4 - 7 (Wednesday, November 29th to Saturday December 2nd)

4 Days Off for Students to take part in the Sustainability Challenge and Catch-Up on missed Sessions. - Students will have a few days off from programming to both catch-up on missed sessions and take part in the Week One Sustainability Challenge!


Day 8 (Sunday, December 3rd at 3:00PM PST)

Mentor Session #2 + Sustainability Challenge Wrap-Up & Review - Hitomi will be back LIVE again for another 2-Hour long LIVE Mentor Session. Enjoy Live Q&A and interaction with Hitomi as she shares even more sustainable ideas and mechanics! If you can’t make this live demo, do not worry as every single sessions in this workshop will be recorded in full and available to watch afterwards! Students will enjoy LIFETIME Access to all program recordings & resources as well.


Day 9 (Monday, December 4th)

Student Assignment - Hitomi will announce the Sustainability Assignment for Students to Complete!


Day 10 (Tuesday, December 5th)

Day Off to work on Student Assignment - Students will have the day off from programming to work on their student project for Student Review later in the week!


Day 11 (Wednesday, December 6th at 4:00PM PST)

Mentor Session #3 - Hitomi will be back LIVE again for another 2-Hour long LIVE Mentor Session. Enjoy Live Q&A and interaction with Hitomi as she shares even more sustainable ideas and mechanics! If you can’t make this live demo, do not worry as every single sessions in this workshop will be recorded in full and available to watch afterwards! Students will enjoy LIFETIME Access to all program recordings & resources as well.


Day 12 & 13 (Thursday, December 7th & Friday, December 8th)

Days Off to work on Student Assignment - Students will have a couple days off from programming to finish their student project for Student Review on Saturday, December 9th!


Day 14 (Saturday, December 9th - Time TBA)

LIVE Student Review (2 Sessions) - Enjoy (2) LIVE Student Review Session with Hitomi as she comments & critiques your work from your Student Assignment #1 submissions. Two sessions will accommodate students from various time zones, ensuring you have an opportunity to be present for your review session of choice! If you can’t make/submit for Student Review, there will be a Late Submissions form also available. Also, both Student Review Sessions will be recorded in full and available to watch afterwards! Students will enjoy LIFETIME Access to all program recordings & resources as well.


Day 15 (Sunday, December 10th at 12:00PM PST)

LIVE Lecture #2 - We end the workshop the same way we started it, with an exciting 3-hour LIVE Demonstration! This live & interactive session will feature live Q&A with students, as well as even more time-saving, easy, and SUSTAINABLE techniques, mechanics, and design ideas! BONUS Challenge!

A 2nd Sustainability Challenge will be issued to Students during Sunday’s final lecture. If you choose, you will be able to submit the 2nd challenge post-workshop for written feedback from Hitomi!
